Myth and Ritual Through Film

This class has opened my eyes and given me the opportunity to revisit films I once prematurely judged. I was able to learn how to appreciate the genres of movies that I always thought I hated. This class has taught me a new way to watch films, where I pay closer attention to the details and allusion going on throughout the course of the film. Through it, I watched sagas such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and even silent, black and white movies such as Metropolis.
Treating the Patient not only the Disease
This class helped me realize that currently, the medicinal field has become about the most efficient treatment or medicine to get rid of an illness, and health professionals sometimes forget that behind that set of diagnosis, there is a human being, and in order to help someone fully recover, one must also, pay attention to creating interpersonal connections between the health professional and the patient which is a key aspect in aiding in ones recover.
